Just over four months ago, the 20-partner iPRODUCE consortium met up in Valencia to kick off the project. Although the world has changed significantly since then, the partners have all adapted, are fully committed to the project, and good progress has been made.

Last week, the iPRODUCE partners held their first fully virtual consortium plenary meeting. Distributed over three days, the partners had the opportunity to present the status of the different tasks and activities that are in progress and others that are expected to begin in the near future. For example, an important discussion was centred around WP2 of the project, focused on the business challenges related to social manufacturing.

In fact, the project is running a number of surveys targeted at makers, fab labs, consumers, and the industry, all with the objective of collecting information to feed results of this WP. Another discussion centred on the ongoing and future activities related to the generation of impact, and next steps for participation of events and dissemination of results (that will be published on the website and our social media accounts – Twitter and LinkedIn.

In the upcoming weeks, many other iPRODUCE activities will start, which will lead to further interesting discussions and results that we will make available to all our readers and followers! Stay tuned, and keep safe.
