iPRODUCE, represented by its partner Manuel Martínez Torán from VLC, participated in this year’s Maker Faire Galicia, which took place online this past 5 June 2021.

The Maker Faire Galicia is part of the Maker Faire, a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. Part science fair and part county fair, shows what they have made and share what they have learned.

The presentation delivered mainly focused on some of the key findings obtained in iPRODUCE and reported in deliverable 2.3 “Benchmarking Report on Makers Approaches and Tools for collaborative production engineering manufacturing”, focusing on the benchmarking study of European Maker spaces. Such document already introduced the concept and description of the meeting points for makers, manufacturers and consumers and how they interact together to achieve common goals collaboratively. Also presented was a general overview of the project and overall status of the activities.

The participation in this event, attended by more than 1,200 visitors from Spain and Latin America, was an important step in creating awareness about iPRODUCE and opened up possibilities for new entities to join the Spanish cMDF.

The full recording of the presentation (in Spanish) can be viewed here.
