The partners involved in the German cMDF organised their third online workshop on 26 June 2020 addressing the topic “maker vs. virus”.

An audience of makers, SMEs, and consumers witnessed a detailed view on how the Maker Space movement reacted to the COVID-19 pandemic within a very short time by actively producing and distributing an extensive range of products. Such products include hands free door openers, disinfectants, community masks, face shields, valves and adapters for ventilation, ear savers, etc.

In addition, an insight into the virtual dynamics and creativity of Maker Spaces was presented as well as funding opportunities for digitization and innovation. The session closed with an open feedback a discussion round.

The online-workshop series “Creating innovations from the home-office” will have a short summer break and will return for the fourth event on 18 August 2020.
