On 27 August 2020, the Danish cMDF kick-started their activities with a co-creation workshop with local schools followed by the official cMDF kick-off event.
In this meeting, the cMDF representatives presented the iPRODUCE project and its goals, while we also heard from the participants’ experiences, as well as wishes, challenges and possibilities to engage and collaborate with fab labs and maker spaces, such as betaFACTORY.
Since the event, some attendees have shown their interest in collaborating and taking part in the project activities. A total of 15 individuals participated in the event and, since then, a number of meetings to further define the possible partnerships have been held. For example, a couple of architecture firms are interested in using the space for real-life and scaled models, while education institutions see the potential of establishing part of their labs at betaFACTORY.
Two more workshops have been planned to happen in October. The first will focus on women makers and the second will focus on developing the work plan of future collaborations with schools, defining what and when to develop the materials for schools.
