On the evening of Tuesday, 21 April 2020, the German cMDF invited SMEs to participate in an online workshop about the opportunities and advantages for co-operation with the maker-community.

Participants from different SMEs, maker communities and research institutions learned about various tools for remote working in an interactive manner. Another session impressively tackled the reaction of the MakerSpace Bonn toward the Corona crisis. In collaboration with other makers worldwide, faces shield were designed and are now printed and distributed to local hospitals, emphasising the power of rapid prototyping and rapid production at makerspaces. The participants appreciated this hands-on spirit of the maker community a lot.

For the German cMDF it was important to keep the session short and simple. The feedback of the participants has been very positive and the next session is currently in preparation.
